How to take homeopathic remedies

This article covers how to take (or give) homeopathic remedies. Unless your Homeopath has requested something special, you can follow these instructions:

Pills and Soft Tablets

To avoid handling the pills please tap 1 (or however many your homeopath suggests) into the lid (or use a spoon if it’s an envelope) and tip directly into your mouth. Leave the pill to dissolve (it’s fine if young children crunch it up!)

Or add the pill(s) to an inch of water, swirl around for 30 seconds or so and give a spoonful of water. (The remedy comes off the pill into the water so you do not need to wait until it has all dissolved and you do not need to finish all the water!! A spoonful is enough).

Powder

Unwrap and tip all contents directly into the mouth. Alternatively you can tip the powder into a small amount of water (a spoonful or so) and give that.

Liquid remedies (2 types - see below)

LM potencies (10% alcohol) (ie: LM1, LM2, LM3 etc)

Before each dose “Bang” the bottle on your palm to shake up the contents around 10 times and take the number of drops you have been prescribed directly under the tongue or in a tablespoonful of water for young children.

Standard potency liquid remedies (23% alcohol) (ie: 30c, 200c, 1M etc)

Use 2 drops as a dose and either drop directly under tongue or dilute in a tablespoonful of water if needed (for young children)

It is important not to eat or drink (except water) close to taking your remedies as strong flavours can interfere. It is best to wait 20 mins either side of taking. This includes toothpaste!

Store your remedies in a room away from your WIFI box and not too near your mobile phone as this can lessen the potency or possibly stop it working completely.
